Step 1: Recover your supplier code

After purchasing Woodbrass, you receive one:

  • activation code / keycode / serial number
    • in the reseller's confirmation email,

Keep this code well: it is it that will activate your software.

Step 2: Create/log in to your MOTU account

  1. Go to the MOTU website, then log in or create an account.
  2. If you purchased a MOTU interface with included software (e.g. Perform Lite), start withRegister the productin your MOTU account with its serial number. Once saved, the included software then appears in your download space.

Step 3: Download and install the software

Once logged into your MOTU account:

  1. Open the sectionDownloads / Download Center.
  2. Download the installer of your software for your operating system.
  3. Install the software normally on your computer. For Digital Performer, the standard procedure is: save/recover the keycode, download, install and then launch the software to enable it.

Case 1: Activation of Digital Performer

Step 4: Launch Digital Performer and enter the keycode

At the first launch ofDigital Performer:

  1. The software opens an activation window.
  2. Please enter:
    • yoursE-mail address,
    • yoursName,
    • yoursKeycode/ activation code.
  3. Validate to activate the license.

If the code is correct, Digital Performer switches to the full version.

Case 2: Activation of old virtual instruments MOTU

Some old word products, such asMachFive 3orEthno instrument, use anThe iLok LicenseInstead of a direct keycode in the software.

Step 4: Create an iLok account

  1. Create an account oniLok.comIf you don't already have one.
  2. InstalliLok License Manager.

Step 5: Redeem iLok code

  1. Log in to your iLok account.
  2. Click onRedeem License Code.
  3. Enter the code that came with your MOTU software.
  4. Follow the instructions to deposit the license into your iLok account and then activate it on your iLok key or machine depending on the product.

Important: For these older instruments, the software does not work until the license has been properly deposited and activated in iLok.

Step 6: Verify that the license is active

  • Digital Performer: the software must open without asking for the keycode again.
  • MOTU instrument with iLokThe license must appear iniLok License ManagerActivated on your iLok or computer.
