Step 1: Recover your provider code (Passcode)

After purchasing Woodbrass, you receive one:

  • Passcode / product code / software code
    • in the reseller's confirmation email,
    • or on a card/insert in the box (VSX, SSD5, etc.).

Keep this code on hand: it is he that you will record on the Steven Slate Audio website.

Step 2: Create/log in to your Steven Slate Audio account

  1. Go to:
    https://my.stevenslateaudio.com
  2. If you do not have an account yet:
    • Click onSign up,
    • Enter your email, password, name, etc.
  3. If you already have an account, simply log in with your email and password.

Tip: UseThe same email addressFor all your Steven Slate products, it simplifies management.

Step 3: Create an iLok account (if you haven't already)

Steven Slate Audio licenses work viaiLok(Trigger, SSD5, VSX, etc.).

  1. Go to the iLok website and create an account (User ID + password).
  2. Download and installiLok License Manager.
  3. Connect to iLok License Manager with youriLok User ID.

Step 4: Link your iLok ID to your Steven Slate Audio account

  1. Log in to my.stevenslateaudio.com.
  2. On the homepage of the account:
    • Either you see oneOrange bannerasking you to link your iLok ID → click on it,
    • Either go intoAccount Settings→ tabiLok ACCOUNT.
  3. Enter yoursiLok User ID, then validate (Verify).
  4. If emails in your iLok account and Steven Slate account are different, aVerification codeYou will be sent to the address linked to iLok: copy and validate it.

Once this step is done, Steven Slate canAutomatically file your iLok licensesin your iLok account.

Step 5: Save the supplier code (Passcode)

  1. From your Steven Slate Audio account, on the homepage:
    • Click onAdd Product,
    • Paste yourPasscode(code received from reseller),
    • Click onSubmit.
  2. For some products (e.g.Vsx), the passcode can also be entered on a dedicated page of typeVSX download / registrationafter logging into your account.
  3. Once the code is accepted:
    • The product appears inYour Products / Your Downloads,
    • Oneby iLok LicenseThe corresponding is automatically sent to your linked iLok account.

Step 6: Activate License in iLok

You now have a license in your iLok account, but it must beActivatedon a machine, USB iLok, or in the cloud.

Option A - Activation with iLok License Manager (manual)

  1. OpeniLok License ManagerAnd connect.
  2. In the tabAvailable, find your product (e.g.Steven Slate Drums 5,Triggering 2,Steven Slate VSX, etc.).
  3. To activate:
    • Either click and drop the license on:
      • yourscomputer(Machine), or
      • yoursby iLok key,
    • Either right click →Activateand choose the location.

Once activated, your DAW will be able to use the plug-in on this machine/iLok.

Option B - Activation via Steven Slate Audio Center (automatic)

For some products (such asVsx), the applicationSteven Slate Audio Center (SSAC)You can activate the license automatically:

  1. Download and launchSteven Slate Audio Center, sign in with your Steven Slate account.
  2. Select your product (VSX, SSD, etc.).
  3. Check the optionActivate iLok license(without necessarily reinstalling the plug-in) then click onInstall / Activate.
  4. The license is then activated on your machine/iLok automatically.
