Waves

  1. Create an account or sign in to Waves Audio
    • Visit the Waves Audio website.
    • If you do not have an account yet, create one. If you already have an account, log in.
    • Go to "My Account", "Register New Products" and enter the serial number of its product.
  2. Download and install Waves Central
    • Waves Central is the Waves Audio management application that allows you to install, activate, and manage your plugins.
    • Go to the Downloads section on the Waves website and download the Waves Central app for Windows or macOS.
    • Install Waves Central following the on-screen instructions:
    Windows: Double-click the downloaded .exe file and follow the installation steps.
    macOS: Double-click the .dmg file, then drag the Waves Central icon into the "Applications" folder.
  3. Connect to Waves Central
    • Open Waves Central and log in with your Waves account.
  4. Installing Waves Software
    • Once connected, you will see the main interface of Waves Central with several tabs like "Install Products" and "My Products".
    • In the "Install Products" tab, you can choose the plugins or bundles you have purchased.
    • Check the products you want to install, then click "Install". Waves Central will automatically download and install the necessary files.
  5. Activate Waves Licenses
    • After installation, you must activate your plugins.
    • Go to the "Licenses" tab in Waves Central.
    • You will see your licenses available. Select them, and then choose the option to activate your licenses on your computer or USB stick if you want to transfer them.

  6. Set up plugins in your DAW
    • Once installed, the Waves plugins will be available in VST, AU or AAX formats, depending on your DAW (Ableton, Pro Tools, Logic, etc.).
    • Open your DAW and scan your plugin directories for the new Waves plugins to be recognized.
    • Load a plugin into a track to check if it is working properly.

  7. Updates and support
    • Waves Central also handles plugin updates. If updates are available for your products, a notification will appear in Waves Central.
    • It is recommended that you keep your installation up to date to ensure compatibility with your system and DAW.
